Leave it behind.
Dear Diary,
As a student of History, I know the value of the past and the important role it plays in our lives. Like this author once wrote, "Those who forget the past are condemned to repeat it." We don't want history to repeat itself, but neither do we want the past to hamper our present.
I'm one of those who believe, that it's better to extract the lessons from the events and remember that, rather than carry the unnecessary burden around, which is futile. Once you have understood what the purpose of a particular event in your past was, you have drawn the lesson from it, take that and move forward, leave the rest behind.

Let the past be where it belongs, because only then will you be able to make future moment into memories.
