A verse from Hebrews 13:3,

"Remember them that are bound as bound with them, and them which suffer adversity as being yourselves also in the body."

As my country struggles with the second wave,  on the one hand there are privileged people, who are defying norms to holiday in tourist locations without social distancing protocols, giving locals the virus. On the other hand people are reaching out and finding help on social media with regards to beds, oxygen cylinders, medicines, food. 

I can't help but remark how apt this verse is for our times. It is only when we start feeling the pain of others as if it were our own, we can truly understand what they are suffering.
