Night

Dear Diary,

I slept late last night so for N, I have chosen the word Night.

I am slowly discovering the beauty of the night. I love sleeping but nights when I sleep later than my usual time, have a charm of their own. Those are usually the days when I have the most fun with my friends in the hostel. Laughing, exchanging stories, singing songs, clicking crazy photos and having mini-adventures.

When I'll be old and grey, these nights will come back to me and put a smile on my face :)

What's your favourite night memory?

The Sunday Visitor.

  1. My favourite night memory is when I was staying at my mom's house. I couldn't sleep and so I got up and went downstairs to the den. My mother was there. We spent the rest of the dark hours drinking tea, talking about writing and having a good ole laugh. I'll always remember the special times I share with my mom. She's the best person I know. Thank you for a lovely post.

  2. Night has a magic of it's own. Some of my favorite times are spent in the hot tub with Papa Bear sitting in calm water underneath the big inky canopy of sky lit by only moon and stars. It fills me with wonder that we are such a tiny part of such a big universe!

    1. I agree. Tiny parts of a big universe, that's exactly how I feel.

  4. One of my favorite night memories is roasting marshmallows with friends over a pit of fire.

  5. Summer nights are great for catching fireflies or enjoying fireworks on the fourth of July. Halloween can be fun. Both of these were from childhood. More recently, I have taken up jogging and in the winter when the neighbors all put up lights before Christmas and the snow is falling, it can be magical.
