Freedom

Dear Diary,

For F, I choose the word 'Freedom.'

My History teacher always tells us how lucky we are to be born in an era where we have every freedom imaginable. History is only replete with examples of events and circumstances where freedoms were clamped upon.

We might live in a free society but are our thoughts free? We we are constantly bothered about what people might say or think. This traps us and we are unable to do the things we really want to, the things we long for.

So today is dedicated to freedom. Freedom to be oneself, freedom to make mistakes, freedom to let others opinions go unheard and do exactly what you feel like doing, when you fell like doing it. Gibe yourself that freedom today. Live sans regrets.

The Sunday Visitor.

  3. Freedom is a wonderful word, though difficult concept, because one really shouldn't be free to do whatever they want wherever they want, we are free within boundaries, our freedom's shouldn't cause problems for others, and many times those who think they can do whatever, whenever....fail to see that.

  4. Total freedom would be problematic, which is why we limit ourselves!

  5. I think thoughts should always be free, but actions need a little more restriction :)

  6. I get so angry at the leaders of my country sometimes, for being meanies and very backward thinking. But compared to the leaders of some unlucky countries I guess mine aren't too bad. And the fact that I am allowed to speak out and criticise those leaders, says a whole lot about my freedoms.

  7. And how lucky we are to have our freedoms. I hope we always cherish that and work to keep them. Freedom's earned and fought for. A lot of people have died to keep them. Knowing that keeps me turning up at the voting booth and speaking out about how I feel regarding political leaders and their decisions. Speak out. Stay free.

  8. Of course we're lucky to have freedom, but you're right, sometimes thoughts come with many strings.

Good luck with the 2015 A to Z Challenge!

  10. Freedom to be ourselves is a self gift :) Nothing really matters if we don't have the freedom to enjoy life the way we want
